GB реестр акционеров компании-эмитента, которые ведет сам эмитент или компания-регистратор в целях учета документарных акций (в отличие от реестра оператора системы CREST, предназначенного для регистрации владельцев бездокументарных акций); в реестр вносятся (1) имена и адреса акционеров (2) дата регистрации конкретного лица в качестве акционера, (3) дата, в которую данное лицо перестало быть акционером; кроме того в реестре указывается количество документарных акций, их класс и номер (если таковые имеются), а также сумма, внесенная в оплату акций каждым акционером, и прочие сведенияSYN:NB: До принятия в ноябре 2001 г. Положения о бездокументарных ценных бумагах 2001 г. (Uncertificated Securities Regulations 2001) в Великобритании регистрация перехода прав собственности (правового титула - title) на ценные бумаги производилась только эмитентом или регистратором компании после получения от расчетной системы CREST инструкции на проведение перерегистрации (RUR, Register Update Request). Покупатель ценных бумаг становился их полноправным владельцем лишь после завершения операции перерегистрации. В настоящее время британское законодательство предусматривает разделение реестра акционеров на две части - реестр эмитента (для документарных ценных бумаг) и реестр оператора системы (для бездокументарных бумаг), причем эмитент/регистратор должен вести также учетные записи (record of securities), отражающие состояние реестра оператора системы.
